This fancy fellow was created in 1954 by Giovanni Mingozzi for an ad for the famous Italian hat company Barbisio. Since 1862, they have designed and created fine headwear; since 2024, we have designed and recreated this image as a fine birthday card! See our entire Birthday Card Collection!
Giovanni Mingozzi (1891-1975) was a prominent graphic artist from Bologna, renowned for his original posters and influential advertising campaigns. He founded the ATLA advertising agency, which produced many posters during the 1920s and '30s. His notable graphic design campaigns include those for Barbisio hats and Campari soda, cementing his legacy in Italian commercial art.
