These prints are made at our location in Seattle, WA. They have a thick, white backing board and are sealed in clear bags. Each is suitable for framing at 11 inches x 14 inches or can be used as is for wall display. Our goal is to bring back to life these wonderful illustrations from old-fashioned, children's books and from early advertising art.
Willy Pogany (1882 - 1955) was born in Hungary, but emigrated to the U.K. and finally the United States as a young man. His exquisite Art Nouveau illustrations were featured in over 150 children's books, but he also worked in periodicals, as a set designer in Hollywood films, and painted murals. Pogany's Eastern European origins are evident in both the dancer's costume and the decorative elements.
