Resort Wear of the 1940s
TRIM AND TAILORED: SUITS, COATS AND HATS OF THE 1940S
A plaid suit and a white jacket for resort wear.
The checked suit shows the 1941 cut for southern suits and for spring suits. Slim skirt, longish jacket and a new neckline, high, sharp, casualthe Lord Byron collar. College girls who have bought their extra jackets in men's shops to get the genuine masculine article, found they didn't fit. This one will, and it looks just like his.
This print is made at our location in Seattle, WA. It comes with a thick, white backing board and is sealed in a clear bag. At 11 inches x 14 inches, it is suitable for framing or can be used as is for wall display. Our goal is to bring back to life these wonderful illustrations from old-fashioned, children's books and from early advertising art.
