This little boy is apparently having trouble concentrating on his school book. Maybe he is dreaming of the romantic places on the map behind him.

Jessie Willcox Smith (1853-1935) was taught by Howard Pyle and became one of America's most beloved portrayers of children through her many books and the more than 200 covers she made for Good Houskeeping magazine.

These prints are made at our location in Seattle, WA. They have a thick, white backing board and are sealed in clear bags. Each is suitable for framing at 11 inches x 14 inches or can be used as is for wall display. Our goal is to bring back to life these wonderful illustrations from old-fashioned, children's books and from early advertising art.
