Summer

Summer is a time of vacations, extra time for reading, for crafts and for enjoying the outdoors.

Laughing Elephant has story books, books with entertaining projects and skills to master, and books to simply celebrate the season.

The images featured on our products come from our huge library of books and ephemera, many of which are over 100 years old. Most of these images are rare and seldom seen. It is our mission to bring treasures from the past and to present them in new combinations and new contexts for the modern reader.

Story Books

We have a series of three classic stories, plus a children's version of Shakespeare's plays, all illustrated by famous artists, which are designed for the older child who likes to read.

Picture Books

Our books are chosen and designed to help create special moments for the children in your life. As adults we can see them as works of art, but a child sees them as a fantasy of images, colors and story.

Books create the fond memories of childhood that we all treasure and hope to be able to provide to the adults of tomorrow. Give one to someone special, keep them around for when loved ones visit, or just collect them. Sharing them helps create great adulthood memories, too.

For most children, the pictures are of paramount importance. We have a large number of shaped books with few words for the beginning reader and a number for the slightly older child for whom the content and words are as important as the pictures.
