Lady Iris - Alphonse Mucha Art Print
Alphonse Mucha's The Flowers series comes to life with the enchanting Iris. This collection has representations of four flowers, the others being Rose, Carnation, and Lily. Initially, two of the original watercolor pieces captivated audiences at Mucha's solo exhibition in 1897. The series proved immensely popular, prompting F. Champenois (his printer) to release a smaller version a year later that featured all four panels beautifully united in a single image. See this image on a greeting card!
Mucha (1860-1939) was a visionary artist whose artistry and creativity shaped the Art Nouveau movement! Born in 1860 in Moravia, now the Czech Republic, Mucha's artistic journey took him from a struggling artist to an internationally renowned master of his craft. With his distinctive style characterized by intricate patterns, flowing lines, and ethereal female figures, Mucha's art played a significant role in shaping the visual aesthetics of the late-19th and early-20th centuries.
