Ordering

Is there a minimum order amount?

No. You can order as small of an order in quantity and dollar amount as you like.

(If you would like free shipping on your order, there is a $50 minimum.)

Can I buy your products on Amazon?

No, our products are not sold on Amazon. Please buy directly from us on our site, or from one of our Stockists.

Can I purchase your products outside of the US?

Yes, we gladly accept international orders. Shipping costs will apply and will be added at checkout.

Note: We are unable to offer free shipping on international orders, regardless of order total.

Can I purchase your products wholesale?

Yes, you can! We have a newly launched wholesale only website.
Simply go to wholesale.laughingelephant.com, and apply for a wholesale account.

Shipping & Returns

Do you offer free shipping?

Domestic Shipping is Free on all orders of $50 or more.

To qualify for free shipping, orders must be shipped within the United States. Order total is calculated after all discounts and excludes Gift Cards, Electronic Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, taxes, and Shipping & Handling of discounted items.

Free shipping is not valid on previous orders. Not redeemable for cash or store credit. Other restrictions may apply.

How long will it take to process my order?

We process and ship all orders as soon as we are able — usually shipping the same day ordered, or the following day.

Major holidays are a busy time for us, and in those cases, we recommend ordering early.

Will I have a choice of shipping carrier?

Yes. We use USPS and UPS at this time, and you will have the option to choose the delivery method at time of checkout.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.

What is your return policy?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept standard returns at this time.

In unique cases, we may allow a return in exchange for credit (not including any shipping and handling charges).

What if an order arrives damaged?

Occasionally we all receive damaged orders in the mail; as every carrier has their own policies, if you receive a damaged product, we ask you to call us at (800) 354-0400, and we'll resolve the issue together.

Where are your products manufactured?

Almost all of our products are manufactured entirely in-house, printed and assembled by our small but mighty team in our Seattle warehouse. 

A few products from our catalog are responsibly manufactured by our trusted partners overseas.

Where does the art for your products come from?

Our founder, the late Harold Darling, began collecting a vast library of antique illustrated children’s books and pictorial ephemera at an early age, and it’s this library we still draw from for imagery and inspiration. We’ve collected quite a lot over the last 50 years of shopping in flea markets, antique shops, bookshops and estate sales! This collection provides a rich resource of beautiful images to fuel our unique designs. We believe that the authenticity of our sources enables us to create products that have a particular power to inspire and connect people.

We also commission modern artists, such as Hooligan Ruth and Corey Steffen, whose aesthetic broadens our offerings.

A collaboration with Random House and Diane Muldrow's "Everything I Need to Know I Learned from a Little Golden Book" allows us to offer images taken from the beloved Little Golden Books in a variety of forms.

Who designs your products?

Our small but mighty design team consists of Chev Darling, Sandra Darling, and one assistant designer, Richard Sauvé. We proudly design everything we sell completely in-house from beginning to end.
