Fox Movietone Follies of 1929 is an American black-and-white (with some Multicolor sequences!) musical film released by Fox Film Corporation. It's a "talkie," as The Jazz Singer had been released two years prior. Unfortunately, the film has been lost to time, but some audio elements still survive. In the film, a southern boy named George Shelby comes to the city to dissuade his sweetheart, Lila, from embarking on a stage career. He eventually buys out the controlling interest in the revue so he can fire her, but her talent wins him over in the end! See this image on a greeting card!
