The adventurous image on this notebook is from a 1932 luggage label issued by the Lineas Aéreas Postales Españolas (LAPE), the national airline of Spain during the Second Spanish Republic. In operation from only 1932 to 1939, LAPE facilitated mail and passenger transportation within Spain and to international destinations. With the resolution of the Spanish Civil War, the airline ceased to exist.
