Ellen Clapsaddle (1865-1934) was an American artist celebrated for her immense impact on the world of vintage postcard illustration. With a staggering portfolio of over 3,000 designs in the souvenir postcard field, she played a pivotal role in the Golden Age of Postcards (1890s through World War I), during which hundreds of millions of postcards were printed, imported, sold, and mailed.
