The Wearing of the Green - St. Patrick's Day Greeting Card
BLANK INSIDE
This charming depiction of an Irish lass, adorned in green and carrying a petite pot of shamrocks, graces a turn-of-the-century postcard by Ellen Clapsaddle. She paired it with the phrase "The Wearing of the Green,"—its source is prominently attributed to an Irish street ballad lamenting the suppression of supporters during the Irish Rebellion of 1798, adding a historical touch to this delightful design.
