A.M. Cassandre (1901-1968), born Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron, was a prominent French graphic designer, painter, and poster artist, known for his exceptional contributions to the Art Deco movement. Among his best-known masterpieces are the innovative travel posters he created for various transportation companies. Additionally, Cassandre's famous Dubo – Dubon – Dubonnet poster showcased his mastery of typographic design and introduced the concept of the Serial Poster—a group of posters that conveys a whole interesting idea through rapid succession. He's also notable for his design of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent logo! His exceptional ability to combine bold colors, dynamic typography, and geometric forms made his posters visually captivating and unforgettable.
