Harry Grant Dart (1868–1938) was an American cartoonist and illustrator renowned for his futuristic and aviation-themed cartoons and comic strips. His professional career began by creating crayon portraits for brochures of the National Crayon Company. Dart later transitioned to newspaper illustration, and in a notable assignment, the New York World sent him to Cuba to capture significant events. In 1908, he introduced his iconic comic strip, The Explorigator, envisioned as a competitor to the famous Little Nemo. The Explorigator featured a fantastical airship exploring the universe, led by a crew of children aged 9–10. Dart's career predominantly focused on cartooning, with his works prominently featured in magazines such as Life and Judge.
