INSIDE GREETING: Friendship is one of life's great joys.

These two young girls roller skating and playing perfectly capture the joys of friendship! Sarah Stilwell Weber drew them for the Saturday Evening Post's July 12, 1919 cover. And now they're on the "cover" of this versatile greeting card! See this image on a card with a blank interior AND as an art print!

Sarah Stilwell Weber (1878-1939) was a distinguished American illustrator who received her artistic training under the tutelage of the renowned Howard Pyle. A prominent figure in the world of illustration, Pyle held Weber in high regard, considering her one of his favorite students. Alongside her contemporary and friend, Jessie Willcox Smith, she played a pivotal role in shaping the artistic landscape of the early 20th century. Her illustrations, characterized by their remarkable ability to convey fluidity and movement, gave the impression that her subjects might gracefully step off the page at any moment. With a talent for creating captivating scenes that breathed life into her characters, she worked steadily for notable magazines, including the Saturday Evening Post, Harper's Bazaar, Good Housekeeping, and Scribner's Magazine.
