George Henry Thompson (1859-1959) was a painter and illustrator renowned for his humorous animal illustrations, often signed as G.H. Thompson. In addition to his mastery in this genre, he also engaged in landscape painting. Most active around the turn of the century, he garnered recognition as a children's book and postcard art illustrator. Given the limited information about his personal life, his legacy remains his art.
