4 postcards of the same design, bagged

The enchanting 1898 lithograph was initially intended as the calendar for the Champenois company. However, its instant allure propelled its publication as a decorative panel titled Rêverie (Daydream) by the esteemed magazine La Plume. Alphonse Mucha's artistic vision unveils a young woman in a beautifully embroidered Slavic dress, leafing through the pages of a decorative design book. The focal point is the elaborate disk behind her, adorned with a delicate tapestry of intricately intertwined flowers and stems, reminiscent of a lace-like pattern. See this image on a greeting card AND as an art print!

Mucha (1860-1939) was a visionary artist whose artistry and creativity shaped the Art Nouveau movement! Born in 1860 in Moravia, now the Czech Republic, Mucha's artistic journey took him from a struggling artist to an internationally renowned master of his craft. With his distinctive style characterized by intricate patterns, flowing lines, and ethereal female figures, Mucha's art played a significant role in shaping the visual aesthetics of the late-19th and early-20th centuries.
