Trained at Cooper Union and Yale University, he moved to San Francisco in 1959, where his bold use of colors and innovative collage techniques earned him international recognition. His iconic posters for the Family Dog and Neon Rose series became emblematic of the era's counterculture. At the same time, his contributions to underground comix, notably for Zap Comix, solidified his status as a visionary artist. His diverse portfolio includes album covers, T-shirt designs, and animated commercials, earning him prestigious awards like the Clio and Inkpot. Moscoso's enduring influence on art and culture is celebrated in publications like Sex, Rock 'N' Roll, & Optical Illusions (2002), a testament to his iconic style and lasting impact.
