INSIDE GREETING: I'm thinking of you every day.

Morning by Maxfield Parrish, often referred to as Morning (Spring), is a dreamy oil painting that exudes a sense of serenity and beauty. It gained recognition as the cover illustration for the Easter edition of Life Magazine on April 6, 1922. With his signature "girls on rocks" theme, Parrish captures the essence of ethereal beauty. The woman in the painting perches upon a rocky outcrop amidst majestic mountains, her hair elegantly tied back. Clothed in a white wrap adorned with a golden tassel belt reminiscent of Classical Greek style, she gazes longingly toward the heavens. See this image as an art print!

Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) was a renowned American artist and illustrator celebrated for his vibrant use of color, idealized neo-classical scenes, and a glazing technique that made his paintings appear to glow! Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Parrish's career spanned five decades and was marked by tremendous success. His notable works include the iconic painting Daybreak (1922), which was declared by the National Museum of American Illustration as the most successful art print of the 20th century! His skill in combining elements of both realism and fantasy lent itself well to children’s book illustration and cemented his place among the leading artists of the Golden Age of Illustration.
