Art Nouveau in Bloom - Everyday Boxed Greeting Cards
2 each of 6 designs.
Many years ago, our mother, Sandra, acquired a large-format book by the great French designer M.P. Verneuil entitled Étude de la Plante, Son application aux industries d’art (Study of the plant and its applications to the Design Industry), printed in 1903 for the Librarie Centrale des Beaux Arts, Paris.
It contains magnificent decorative studies of plants and offers ideas of how these plant forms could be used in the design elements of fabric, jewelry, ironwork, pottery, and so on. It is printed by letterpress with pochoir colored illustrations, and the quality of the printing is superb.
Custom printed at our location in Seattle, WA and packaged with envelopes in a deluxe, keepsake box.
