Dreidel and Candles - Hannakah Greeting Card
BLANK INSIDE
This lovely painting of a dreidel and candles by Canadian artist Patricia Peacock-Evans makes a great Hannakah greeting. The story goes that, when looking for oil to light the menorah, there was only enough to light it for one day. But then, a miracle happened: the candles somehow burned for eight days. This is known as the miracle of the oil, and it's commemorated each year during Hanukkah. It is customary to play games at Hanukkah.
The most common game uses a dreidel and is a popular way of helping children to remember the great miracle. A dreidel is a spinning top with a different Hebrew letter inscribed on each of its four sides. The letter on which the dreidel stops determines each player's score.
Our notecards are custom printed at our location in Seattle, WA and come bagged with an envelope.
